Shark Tank!

The new aquarium opened yesterday at the science center.  Trevor really enjoyed it, but the entire exhibit only took us about 30 minutes to go through.  So then we were off to race through the usual exhibits and play areas.

Happy Charlotte always along for the ride

And then it was time to go home

My little camper

Last week Trevor did a 9-1 swim camp.  He loved it and I didn't mind the down time:).  He sure loves some water.

Girl's Beach Week (plus 10 kids 2 and under)

Last week, our play group packed up and went to the beach for the work week:).   6 moms and ten kids in one house actually worked out pretty well!  For half of the week, our family shared a room with one other mom and her two kids  Amazingly everyone in our room went to sleep at a decent time.   I had envisioned much worse!  I was really pleased with Trevor and Charlotte's sleeping routines.  We had a great time and many thanks to Emily and her parent's for hosting us all in Morehead city! All of the kids really got along well and I'm so thankful for these friends for me and the kids!!

This post is pretty photo intensive, but for more photos, check out Kelly's Blog  and Heather's Photos.

Loving the Ocean

Sweet Wynn

Every night one mom was in charge of fixing the adult's dinner- delicious.  Except for my night, I got lazy and had pizza

There was such a neat all wooden contained play ground nearby

I didn't bring a life jacket and after seeing Trevor in the water, I realized he needed one with his "no fear" approach, so this was found in the garage and he really didn't seem to mind it.

Swimming with Max

I wish this happened more, but Trevor preferred to be in the water with ME

my sweet babies

I know I'm biased, but I think that Charlotte and Wyatt are the happiest babies around

The kids LOVED playing in the boat

Cooper came for a couple of nights

We did have to do time out on the beach....

Their private beach area was PERFECT for the kids to run around

birthday suit fun in the pool

The morning we were trying to pack up, I found a sweet moment where the kids each took a seat

It was the week of the Big Rock Fishing Tournament so we walked up to the landing to watch a Blue Marlin Weigh in

Charlotte- 7 months!

My little girl is 7 months now and as sweet as ever.  I can't imagine a happier baby.  She seems to genuinely love life and anyone that pays her attention.  If she's not in a smiling mood, she's ready to eat or sleep.

Eating- Just this week, I realized that she was still nursing a lot and I should probably try getting into a better solid/meal routine.  So now, I'm trying to feed her at least 3 meals a day and it has helped cut down the nursing.  And by meals, I mean baby oatmeal, greek yogurt, and other Gerber fruits and veggie.  I also just remembered that I was allowed to give her water and she likes her sipe cup even though it is Trevor's old one and way to heavy for her to hold up.

Sleeping- Most nights, Charlotte sleeps through the night.  She goes down amazingly easy anywhere from 6:45-7:30 and I wake her to nurse her one more time before I get in bed around 10-11pm.  Then she typically sleeps until 5-7am.  However, last night Charlotte was up a lot and in my sleepy mind state, I just assumed it was a growth spurt until this morning when I realized her first tooth has broken through the gums!  Charlotte naps about 3 times a day.  She's usually ready for a snooze after being awake for 3 hours.

Charlotte still loves to sit and stand up with support.  She loves being outside and is great at the pool watching her brother play.  Trevor and her are definitely noticing each other more these days.

This week Trevor is doing swim camp and I'm looking forward to the one on one time with Charlotte!

Trevor is 2!

Trevor turned 2 on June 1st and to celebrate, we had another pool party. I hope he never gets tired of those;). I put up an album of our real camera photos on Facebook, but for simplicity sake will just upload my cell phone pics to the blog. We had a very fun weekend.

But first, a little bit about my big man-

You LOVE to run and jump around EVERYWHERE and fast. You love loud noises- airplanes, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, tractors. You love pointing out trucks. You love your gummy vitamins and daddy's chips. You drink way too much milk and are otherwise a very picky eater. You don't think that you love your afternoon nap, but after a few minutes of fighting it, you go down for 2-3 hours. You have gotten pretty good at sleeping through the night on a regular basis after a rough start (birth til - 18 months).  You like to lay down in your crib after you are promised a song and a back rub. In the morning, you like to get in our bed and watch Toot-Toot, Chuggington. You have just now started to show more interest in your sister and want her to go places with you. You love the pool and the ocean, no fear whatsoever. Your shy around new people unless they are in a position that you want or can help you (driving a tractor, swimming in ocean, helping you to climb something). Your vocabulary is growing fast (finally:)) and you're trying new words daily. You love books, especially Go Dog, Go., and any other book about trucks or trains. You love fruits, but unfortunately the acid in them really doesn't agree with your system. You love golf cart and tractor rides with your great grandfather. You love playing with your friends and get excited to see them, especially Ellis, Max, Claire, and Cooper at this point.  You understand that your dad has to leave for work everyday and like to wave bye-bye (if you are awake).  You still don't prefer your mom to leave while you are awake, but forget quickly. . You are overall a very happy and sweet little boy!!

Then on Sunday, we went out to my grandparent's to celebrate my grandfather's birthday and Trevor still thought it was his too:)
