Christmas in NYC

We are headed to NewYork tomorrow morning!  We actually leave tonight for Charlotte where we will spend the night with Alec's family and return there to celebrate Christmas with them.  We just checked the forecast and it is going to be COLD, like highs of only 39 cold. Scary.  Hopefully we'll all make it in one or well, four pieces through the airport, the city, and back home again:)

And although I had promised Trevor his own leash back pack to keep him safe, I failed to purchase it.  Thank goodness there are plenty of stores at our destination so I can fill up with more burp cloths, diapers, milk, pjs, and child leash (the device I always thought was inhumane, but now seems quite purposeful) if necessary  The kids may fly for free, but our luggage sure wont!

Both kids have been sleeping so well this week, I'm really interested or rather terrified to see what happens when we share one hotel room, but we should all be able to survive a 5 day trip.

Well, can't wait to see William and Julie and their new place!

Happy 6 Week Birthday to Charlotte tomorrow!  What a lucky girl, gets a plane trip to New York City for her bday!

These pictures were actually when she was 7 days old

And thought I'd include this picture from our last plane flight with Trevor.  You can see he is quite the little helper in his pjs after a ten hour day of travel...

Trevor, keep watch over all of our luggage while we go and get the car

Running?

So I decided to think of a shorter domain name.  Not very creative, but I was tired of forgetting and messing up my own domain when typing it into search engines on other computers or phones.  Well see how this works...

In just 5 days, I have my 6th week follow up appointment where I should be formally allowed to resume all activities after my c section.  Mostly meaning... exercising.  I must admit I've been quite fine Not exercising.  I kind of love the excuse that pregnancy brings on about not having to run in later stages and afterwards.  When I know it is allowed, I feel a little guilty not doing it and even might not shower thinking all day that I need to go running first... So then I just end up feeling guilty and not clean.  Well last night I got a tiny jump start on it.  We had registered for the www.runningoftheballs.com which is a 5k with the intention to stroll the babes through the Christmas lights of Sunset Hills.  Well the weather seemingly turned ugly and not wanting to get two children sick before Christmas, we decided to leave them behind and go on our own.  The group that we met was running so I tried to suck it up and run.  It was my first time running since July and luckily it was not a real 5k, only 2.8 miles.  Well we finished, but I will conveniently leave out my time:). #outofshape!  But the race was so pretty!  It started at 6pm so it was dark and through beautiful streets with all of the Christmas lighted, colorful balls hanging in the trees.
