Getting bigger

It's been a full week with no bottles, so we are packing them up just a little bit before Charlotte turns 13 months.  Just like with Trevor, I dreaded it, but both really weren't that bad in the end and both children still drinks LOTS of milk out of sipe cups.  If only we could get them to eat more Solid foods!!

Pajama Head

Sweet little Charlotte LOVES wandering around the house with Trevor's pjs on her head. It's so cute, because If I try to switch them out for a blanket or one of her shirts, she doesn't seem as happy with it.  No idea what the appeal is;)

Santa time!

This morning, both kids were at school so I had a little pow wow with Santa.  The shopping became slightly addictive.  This is the first year that I actually think Trevor will "get" the concept of opening his own presents.  Poor Charlotte might not be receiving as many gifts because she is just so easy to please and  I don't want to overwhelm her;) or my wallet!

I can't wait for Christmas Morning!  Now, that I've gotten the kids taken care of, time to start on everyone else.....

Missing her big brother

Not sure why, but Charlotte seems to miss her big brother when he's napping.  One would think she might cherish the alone time with free range of toys and no one to push her down.  However, she always goes directly to his door and hopes that I've forgotten to latch it so she can pop it open.  Then if she makes it in, she goes and lays beside him.  Kind of sweet:)

Mom, can you believe he's still not awake?  Oh well, guess I'll take a nap with him.

You can tell by the outfits, this happens on multiple days, luckily Trevor seems to wake up in a slightly better mood when Charlotte is involved.  And we need all the help we can get with Trevor's moods post nap!

Duke Football

Since Duke is having a pretty good season, we figured we should make the effort to at least go to one game this season.  We made a very last minute decision to head over to Wake Forest for the Noon game WITH the kids. Of course, we knew and expected that the game or even tailgating may be cut very short depending on child behavior.

We lasted til about halftime in our seats.  After that it was in and out for lots of breaks.  Good stair workout! Luckily there was a field in the stadium area that entertained the kids for awhile.

It was a cold, but fun weekend!  Go Duke!

Trick or Treat 2013

We had such a great Halloween!  Trevor was Thomas the Train and Charlotte was the sweetest 11 month old cow on the street:).  We had several families over for Pizza and play and even managed to get a few group shots of all the kids!

The group pics crack me up!  At least one child at all times look like they are being tortured to sit still.

This ones captures Trevor having a great idea....

 And off they go.

Trick or Treat!

Back home, time to sort through our treats and choose one more piece before bedtime!

And a few more laughs before the parents are ready to say goodnight!

I was hesitant about taking Trevor trick or treating, because I really didn't think he'd be that into it and why start giving him more candy when he doesn't quite realize what's going on just yet,  but boy was I wrong!  Alec and some of the other parents took the older kids trick or treating and the videos and pics are absolutely priceless!  Trevor LOVED it.  I wish I had been there, but am so thankful for the pics!  Someone had to stay home with Charlotte while she snoozed.

Oh My, it's been a while

Ever Since I upgraded my phone, my Blogging app has had problems so I've had several posts just "sitting" on my phone waiting to be published, but basically just ended up taking a hiatus on blogging since early August.  The last posts that are stuck in phone land were from our last summer beach trip to Charleston and the Isle of Palms.  We had a great time there and really this entire summer, lots of beach and pool time.

Charlotte Turned 9 months in South Carolina and had formula for the first time.  She wasn't too keen on it for the first few days, but is doing great now and even drinks some real milk since she turned 11 months.  My little girl is still small, she is less than 10% in height meaning she is about to turn 12 months and still wears 3-6 pants.  And she is around 25%  in weight putting her around 17lbs right now.  Charlotte is still an extremely happy baby and loves to smile on command, making picture taking quite easy:)  She started walking on her own just two weeks before her birthday.  She loves to babble and definitely says the sounds mama and not dada, haha.  She has 3 upper teeth and two bottom teeth.  Can't believe I'm already planning her first birthday.  Charlotte started school on Tuesday mornings in October.  She is a little hesitant to leave me, but after just a few moments, I am able to hear her calm down.  And then I get to go play tennis!:)

Things are going well now, the kids are sleeping well.  Trevor has been potty trained since August, thanks to the "potty training bootcamp" method.  He is loving his two mornings at school this Fall.  The drop offs are a LOT easier than last year.

In other news we have moved!  We are all so very happy to be in our new home!  The additional space has been Just what we needed and the yard.... wonderful.

Random catch up post, hopefully I'll be able to keep track of our lives more often than I've been doing lately!

Here are some pics that we took at the Bicentennial Garden to try and capture one for Charlotte's first birthday invitation.
