Living with Gills: Big Weekend

Well, we left the kids- both for 3.5 days! We have never been in a different city from Trevor and besides from Charlotte's birth, we haven't spent more than one consecutive night away from Trevor. Obviously, we haven't left Charlotte overnight yet. My childhood friend, Stephanie got married in Tampa and we did not want to miss it! Not only did we know it would be a great wedding weekend, we also wanted to revisit where we lived right after our wedding.

Luckily, I was able to save up enough milk ahead of time for Charlotte so her eating habits were unchanged and I took my good friend or sometimes enemy, the pump to Florida to stay on schedule with her. Besides being a slight pain during the middle of the night, it was a small price to pay to have a great kid free vacation with Alec.

Thank goodness for cell phones- we received numerous pictures, calls, and videos of Trevor and Charlotte throughout the weekend. They were staying with my parents and it seems that everyone had a great weekend. I was certainly ready to come home Sunday and snuggle those sweet faces, but also extremely enjoyed the break and time to ourselves;). I'm sure those will be few and far between!

Stephanie was a gorgeous bride, her husband, Steven is incredibly sweet, the weather all weekend was perfect, and the wedding location was beautiful!
